Lacking in any compassion
I was absolutely disgusted to read the "our view" article on Cliff Richard's views on gay marriage and euthanasia and I suggest you fire the person who wrote it.
The article is absolutely disgusting, lacking in any compassion or understanding of the complexities of dementia and the suffering it causes. Criticising his music is one thing, but the emphasis on the world "WRONG" and the thinly veiled accusation that his is selfish to not be willing to suffer the horrors of dementia is outrageous. The article also doesn't provide any evidence that they know what God thinks on the issue of euthanasia.

• Editor's note: Dementia is cruel in the way it takes away the mind of the people we love. However, to decide to take the life of someone can only be described as murder, and that is clearly written in scripture that God commands that we should not kill. Christians believe he is the Creator and our lives are in his hand and not ours. So killing someone - even though the torment of watching that person may make us think we have a right - in any circumstance is wrong.

It's wrong to use a child like that
THE
four-year-old "preacher" Kanon Tipton is just imitating what he's seen on that platform and shouting a lot. Why has he got "notes" in front of him? Surely he can't read well enough to use notes. I think it is wrong to use a child like that.

Poppies should show peace
WHITE poppies should be available for people who regard them as symbols of peace. Freedom of choice - surely this can only be a good thing. Maybe even the option of not wearing a poppy. There is often a spiritual conflict when thinking about war and the Bible's messages need to be studied - I have pondered over these things for many years and am looking to The Holy Spirit to guide me on the right path in this respect.
